Hi bloggers
I am very disappointed with our South African athletic association that allows the poor girl to be morosed and stressed by negative people that can't focus on the bigger picture. The poor girl beats the world's records, but still has to be questioned of her gender.
I've always thought gender testing had to do with one removing his/her underwear in order to check his/her gender, but we all know that it will be tendered as undermining ones privacy. I think what they are doing to the Semenya girl is uncalled for. As a country we are supposed to concentrate on the achievements our fellow South Africans achieve rather than the negatives. We need to focus on supporting one another, than pulling each other down. I wonder how you guys are feeling about this issue?
Wish to hear from you soon.
Regards

MARRIAGES MADE FROM HEAVEN
Hi, my favourite people
The focal point of my title was brought reading a publication from a magazine that was referring to a couple like Caiphus Semenya and Letta Mbuli's 40th marriage anniversary. Dad Caiphus is also shown celebrating his 70th birthday. What a blessing, to reach that age having brought up your kids with the love of your life. I envy such couples.
His wife describes him as a loving husband, a hard working artist, a producer, a business partner and a loving father. Caiphus, at his age is still embarking on projects that will be beneficial to our African nation. He indicated that they have established an academy and are launching it sometimes in November. The academy will be used to develop children at their early ages on dances and music.
They will be focusing on dances from different cultures. The aim of the academy is also to promote our cultural heritage.
My view point on their ever lasting marriage, the real "till death do us part", is the fact that Papa Caiphus loves his wife, a provider to his family and Mama Letta in turn, automatically becomes submissive to her husband. Guys, I wish that all fathers could be like Papa Caiphus. Fathers out there are no longer loving to their children, families are broken , children resort to crime because of absent fathers.
To all my male colleagues, I'm hoping your families are referring to you as 'loving husbands and fathers'. And what's your take in this?

FRUSTRATIONS DURING THE WEBQUESTS PRESENTATION
Hi colleagues and bloggers
As a consent student I would like to air my view on the frustrations I experienced during the presentation. As a district person I think my responsibility was not clear enough. I had sent Mr. Maseko a mail requesting clarity on what is expected of me. At least I thought I was at par with his deliberations on clarifying certain aspects.
To my dissappointment, as he indicated, during the last week before our presentation he provided us with additional support in my g-mail in order for me to be able to execute my activity in the group presentation. The only time I was able to access that particular mail was on the 14th August 2009, which was to me very unfair assessment.
Colleagues, I wonder what's your take on this matter?

ALCOHOL & DRUG ABUSE
Hi bloggers out there!!
I have a learner in my class whom I SUSPECT might be abusing alcohol and drugs. I have invited his parent who happens to be a single parent. Imagine having to bring up teenage boys nowadays, for that matter alone as a mother. His mother is devastated because she is worried that her son would experience an overdose in the near future. I decided to also interview the boy to try and investigate if he is undergoing any stressful situations.
To my dismay, the boy is denial because he is adamant to say he is a teetoteller and does not abuse drugs at all. He refuses to go for tests, and claims his mother is acusing him like he did to his dad who is presently estranged to the mother. He is accusing the mother of not treating him as her own child. According to the way I view his dilemma, I think he at times think that he is in control of the situation meanwhile he is not. What made me SUSPECT is that he used to be a very actively participating who was neat at all times. Now lately, he has switched into this 'don't care attitude', he is not neat anymore, very passive and seldom sleeps in class.
As an educator who happen to know his track record, having taught him since Grade 10, and presently he is in Grade 12, he worries me a lot. Colleagues, please help me save this soul.
